Nip is a culinary creator, fondly dubbed the King of Curry in Australia, known for his bold, flavour-packed recipes and vibrant storytelling.

Born and raised in Sri Lanka, he grew up surrounded by one of the richest food cultures in the world — where cooking meant bold spices, big flavours, and deep family traditions. From peeling vegetables in his mum’s kitchen to being glued to TV cooking shows, food was always more than just fuel — it was passion, purpose, and a way to connect.

After moving to Australia, Nip saw his childhood cuisine through a new lens. The distance made him appreciate the depth, soul, and cultural weight of Sri Lankan & South Asian food — and he was inspired to share it with a wider world. That spark became Nipcooks: a platform to celebrate South Asian cooking in all its complexity, blending the traditional with the modern in a way that’s accessible, exciting, and full of heart.

Since first sharing his food online in 2020, he has grown a loyal community of nearly 400K followers across Instagram and TikTok. His content ranges from hidden South Asian gems to fast wok-style meals - all rooted in flavour and driven by a mission to bring people together through food.
