Cinnamon Condensed Milk Filo Pie

Cook Time 45 minutes plus cooling

Servings 6-8

Ingredients

1 packet (500g) filo pastry, thawed

170g melted unsalted butter

1 can (395g) sweetened condensed milk

500ml thickened cream

Ground cinnamon (optional)

Nuts (optional)

Berries, to serve

pinch of salt 

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a large baking dish with melted butter.

Brush butter on one side of each sheet of filo and scrunch each filo sheet and place them in the dish until it's filled. Brush or drizzle the remaining melted butter over the filo and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

In a bowl mix the condensed milk, cream and cinnamon together.

Pour the condensed milk cream mixture over the hot filo so the pastry absorbs the liquid. Sprinkle with nuts and a pinch of salt, and bake for 5-10 minutes until bubbly and absorbed. Let cool slightly before serving.

Serve with fresh berries and enjoy.
