Porridge with Roasted Maple Apples

Ingredients

⅔ cup gluten-free macadamia almond porridge 

1 cup milk

1 handful of maple and pink lake salt roasted nuts, chopped

Roasted apples

3 Jazz or Pink Lady apples, skin on and cut into wedges

1 tbsp olive oil 

½ cup pure maple syrup

1 tbsp corn flour

½ tsp cinnamon  

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place all of the roasted apple ingredients into a baking dish and toss everything together until the apples are well coated.

Roast in the oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10-15 to ensure they cook and colour evenly and the apples are tender.

Cook porridge as per packet instructions.

Serve porridge with a generous serving of roasted and a drizzle of pan juices. Garnish with chopped nuts.
